Our evening menu is available from Tuesday to Saturday with bookings highly advisable.
Our menu is small but focuses on the amazing fish available on Cornish shores combined with the stunning meat and game Cornwall also has to offer.
We will always try our best to accommodate any dietary allergies or requirements but as a single chef kitchen, regrettably this may not always be the case. We ask for notification of any requirements at the time of making a reservation. We would highly recommend viewing our sample menu or sending us a quick email if you are not sure.
We do not have a separate children's menu. Again, if you are not sure then please view our sample menu or send us an email.
We have now paused our Sunday Lunch menu until September 2023. We will update the website and our socials when we restart them.

We order very little and often from our suppliers which means the food we serve is as fresh as possible. This also means that our menu's change regularly. Our sample menu attached gives an idea of the food we serve.

Please note that booking a table via our online reservation system is our preferred booking method.
Booking this way will ask for card details to secure your reservation. Unfortunately we have experienced a number of "no shows" which heavily impact on our business. We simply ask that if your plans change, please could you let us know with at least 24 hours notice. We really would rather not, but if your reservation is cancelled within 24 hours or you do not turn up for your reservation, a £15 per person charge will apply.
Please note due to the size of the Bistro, and Adam being our only chef we do not accept tables bigger than 6 people. If your party includes children please make a note of this in the notes section of the booking.

OUR little BISTRO
Being a family run business we put our heart and soul into everything we do. From sourcing our fresh meat and fish directly with producers to meeting the owners of the local vineyard to ensure we promote their wines in the manner that they are happy with. We only run one sitting per evening therefore the table is yours for the duration.
We have previously won several awards, including an AA Rosette for culinary excellence from 2018 until 2023. We have also received back to back Gold in the 2017 & 2018 Taste of the West Awards, reaching the final in 2017. From 2018 until 2022 we featured in the Trenchermen's Guide for the best South West Food & Drink establishments, reaching the 2020 Final Awards for Best Front of House Team. We have also featured in the Hardens Guide for top UK restaurants and have received 3 consecutive Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence awards. These "awards" are now costing us over £500 a year to retain, we have decided to therefore stop paying for them, we hope that you enjoy your time and meal with us and hopefully you will see our standards have only got higher since your last visit.
Unfortunately the Bistro is on the smaller side therefore we are not able to allow dogs inside, however, during warmer months there are three tables by the waterwheel which are covered and heated. If you would like to book a table by the waterwheel with your four legged friend then please book a table in the normal way and put in the notes that you will be bringing your dog and we will assign you the correct table.
